It is a short-term digital document valid until the next random raffle. It's generated after both parties (customer & service staff member) accepts participation for the next weekly draw.
Paid customers have the benefit of "e-ticket multiplier" for the weekly draft. Above the first 500 accumulated points, for each block of 250 points, the system generates a clone of the original e-ticket.
At payment time using TipLooper app, once the customer agrees to pay the extra fee for next weekly draw, the service staff member must contribute with the same (or a lesser) amount. In case of winning any of the weekly prizes, the money will be splitted and transfered to each TipLooper's e-wallet (credit for purchase account) in the same percentage according to their individual contribution to the bucket.
This extra fee is based on a fixed amount of $0.35 USD for each $50.00 USD of original invoice amount (including taxes).
For example, for a $100.00 USD receipt, and $10.00 USD tip, the TipLooper's payment amount for the customer will be: $110.70 USD. If service staff member accepts pay the same "Weekly Draw Fee" amount, will be transfered to his e-wallet the amount of: $9.30 USD. This means the total that goes to the weekly bucket will be $1.40 USD.
When customer does not want to participate of the weekly draw, the TipLooper's payment process ends offering a 10 bonus points to the service staff member.
Few minutes after the payment process ends, the system sends a message thru the mobile app to invite the customer to take a quick survey about the last experience. This process is very important for TipLooper to collect, analize these data and give a feedback to our business partners.
After finishing the quick survey, TipLooper offers a 10 bonus points to the customer.
The weekly electronic draft are held on Mondays 7pm EST at the headquarters of TipLooper.
TipLooper takes up to 20% of the accumulated weekly prize as "Logistics Fee", the rest is distributed among customers and service staff members.
The prize is transfered to the winners' e-wallet ("Credit for Purchases" account) just after the draft.
Only e-tickets generated from last Monday (7 days previous to the draft) up to Sunday (day before the draft) are elegible for the draft. The picker algorithm is a basic random selector from database list. That means everyone of them have the same odds to be selected, the variance is the quantity of winner picks for each prize based on "Customer Index" value.
Following rules apply for e-ticket selection:
There are 7 weekly prizes divided in 3 groups:
Group #1: 3 prizes - 10 e-tickets selected
1st prize: 1 winner - 30% of the accumulated bucket
2nd prize: 3 winners - 30% of the accumulated bucket
3rd prize: 6 winners - 40% of the accumulated bucket
Group #2: 3 prizes - based on % of unselected e-tickets
4th prize: 5% of e-tickets - $20.00 credit for each 100 points accumulated*
5th prize: 10% of e-tickets - $10.00 credit for each 100 points accumulated*
6th prize: 20% of e-tickets - $5.00 credit for each 100 points accumulated*
Group #3: all unselected / non winner e-tickets
7th prize: 50 bonus points
* In case the customer does not meet the minimum points, both parties receive a 1/4 of the base prize. Maximum prize amount by points accumulation is $120.00 USD
For prizes on group #2 (based of percentage of unselected e-tickets) the calculation of final winning picks is based on CIV formula. The following steps apply for every prize:
Percent based on average CIV range:
Range %
-------------------------- ------
less than 1: 25%
between 1.0 and 1.6: 50%
between 1.7 and 2.3: 75%
greather than 2.3: 100%
It's a simple indicator (KPI) of how much valuable is a customer for TipLooper comparing him/her against other pre selected customers for an specific prize.
The possible values goes from 0 to 3:
This KPI has 3 base variables:
On every prize preselection step, if a new customer is detected, these 3 variables are calculated and are valid for the whole draw process in case the customer is preselected again in other prize.
Once all preselected customers has been identified, the system calculates the average of "Amount of Money" and "Total of e-tickets". If customer's values are above their corresponding average value then 1 point is added to customer's CIV for each one. The final formula is:
CIV = IIF("Amount" > "Avg Amount", 1,0) + IIF ("Total" > "Avg Total", 1, 0) + "Indicator"
